A Downtown Calgary Engagement Session with Taryn & Inaki


When I first met Taryn and Inaki, I immediately felt their effortless connection. Introduced through Inaki’s older brother, these two have been growing their love for over seven years. What stood out to me most during their engagement session was how comfortable they were simply being themselves — playful, affectionate, and completely present with each other. As a Calgary wedding photographer, moments like these are what I live for.


We chose to spend most of our session at the Calgary Central Library, one of my favorite engagement photo locations in the city. If you're searching for unique spots for photography in Calgary, this place is a hidden gem. With its blend of contemporary and Scandinavian-inspired architecture, the library offers dramatic lines, soft curves, and layered perspectives that elevate any photo session. It’s truly one of the best local spots to capture dynamic, artistic, and emotionally rich portraits.


Just steps away from the library, we also explored on top of the parking building — a lesser-known but perfect location to capture more raw, candid energy. As you'll see in the photos below, this setting allowed us to document Taryn and Inaki’s chemistry in an unfiltered, urban way. No posing was needed. They simply showed up as themselves.
