Our couple’s River Cafe wedding in Calgary embraced a timeless black and white palette, beautifully accented with colorful floral arrangements by Flowers by Janie. The elegant contrast of classic tones with vibrant blooms created a sophisticated yet lively atmosphere, perfectly capturing the couple’s modern and romantic style.


A Romantic Garden Ceremony at River Cafe

Located in the heart of Prince’s Island Park, River Cafe provided the perfect backdrop for their intimate garden ceremony. The chic black and white theme set the stage, while Flowers by Janie’s vibrant designs brought life, color, and romance to every detail. Candlelight and thoughtful décor added warmth, turning the natural setting into a truly magical space.


Guest Experience

With an intimate gathering of 50 loved ones, the wedding felt personal and heartfelt. One of the most moving moments was the groom walking down the aisle with his brothers an emotional highlight that set the tone for the day. Guests were treated to River Cafe’s locally inspired seasonal menu, laughter-filled speeches, and the cozy, elegant ambiance the venue is celebrated for.


First Dance

The couple shared their first dance to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell. An iconic song that perfectly captured their joy, energy, and the enduring strength of their love.

The day began with a calm and joyful morning, filled with anticipation as everyone prepared for the celebration ahead. The ceremony itself was a heartfelt exchange of vows, framed by timeless style and vibrant florals that created an unforgettable atmosphere.
